Let them eat cake

I am in Australia, beautiful sunny Australia. It was not actually sunny the first few days I was here, as per usual I brought rain with me. You see, Australia is pretty much in a permanent drought except when I'm here. I have decided that the government should actually pay for my trip here as a water saving measure - they pay women to have children (I'm not kidding, you get $3000 cash payout per kid), so why can't I get paid for the rain? The weather has gotten better in the last few days and the weather is not the reason for the visit. Sure my family lives here and it is nice to see them, but the real reason I'm here is for the cake, or to be more precise, the slice. Slice is kind of like American cookie bars except better. Way better. So far I have had:

Lamingtons - cake coated in chocolate and coconut

Vanilla slice - custard between pastry with either pink icing or confectioners sugar on top

New York vanilla slice - vanilla slice plus pastry cream

Greek vanilla slice - vanilla slice with the same pastry as baklava

Caramel slice - cookie base with a layer of caramel and chocolate

Lemon slice - a lemon cookie crust with lemon icing

In addition to the slice I have also had chocolate, jellies(gummies), and hot chocolate which is better described as thin chocolate custard. I'm afraid that even with my training runs I will be returning home a little pudgier than when I left, so if you see me, please be polite and not mention it.
